Through the carnage came a figure cloaked in shadow, she appeared to move through the bodies rather than step on top of them. Even standing somewhere around seven or eight feet tall, she was far too humanoid to be a foe, they had long since abandoned their ruse of playing at humanity. She wore a cloak that appeared to dissipate and knit together like threads of smoke, the gossamer threads like the grey of a new dawn. Under the hood, he could only just make out her eyes, a clouded sky blue, pupils, and her gaze unending.
She stopped before him, their eyes meeting through his tears. There was no empathy in her gaze, only his own agony reflected back at him, though her hand was light as a soft breeze as she tipped his chin up.
“Please,” Dick said, even though he didn’t know what he was asking for: release, mercy, death.
“You long to go back.”
“Yes.”
“For a different outcome.”
Dick nearly choked on the word, “yes.”
“I can make it so. I can give you the gift of foresight, but I warn you, it comes at great sacrifice as it does for anyone else who it is bestowed upon.”
Dick Grayson may not be able to change everything, but my god, is he going to try.

Nightwing drops his weapons and pounds against Superman’s chest with his fists. When he finally stops, Superman pulls the vigilante into a tight hug. The elder Leaguer cards his fingers through Nightwing’s hair. “I've got you,” he promises quietly.
The young hero pulls away just long enough to ask in a strained, desperate voice, “Why is he doing this?”
Dinah lowers her eyes. All she seems to do lately is intrude on Nightwing’s private moments. She slips back out the door, guilty to know just how broken up Nightwing is.
As much as they try to hide it, Dinah sees the strain on Nightwing and Flamebird's relationship lately. How the newest Robin fits in, she's not sure.

Wally gasped, biting down on his own lip as he drove in a little deeper, a little harder— just enough to feel that familiar, fluttering grip that made his toes curl. Dick shifted again, murmuring something soft and slurred, barely coherent, and Wally froze.
But Dick didn't stop him.
Didn't wake.
Didn't push him off.
Instead, he made a quiet, breathy sound— something close to a moan— and tilted his hips back, like his body was responding to Wally on instinct.
That was all the invitation Wally needed.

Wally's horny but unfortunately for him, Dick's asleep.

Tim doesn't answer right away— but Dick already knew he wouldn't. He never did.
“...No,” Tim says finally, meeting Dick’s gaze without flinching. “You don’t get to disappear on us for a year, come back, pretend everything is fine and then expect me to just let it go. That’s not how it works.”
“He’s right you know,” the kid says unhelpfully. Why won’t he just shut up? Why is he always here?
Dick’s lip twitch.
“Tim…” Dick starts, but the warning in his voice doesn't carry much weight. He’s too tired. He’s been too tired for months. Maybe years. “Some things are better left alone.”
“Not when they’re eating you alive.” Tim’s voice drops, softer now, no less firm. “We’re not blind, you know. Jason won’t admit it but he worries. Damian keeps asking why you don't come by anymore. Even Babs—”
“Stop.” Dick’s voice comes out sharper than he means, and Tim flinches. Just barely, but enough for Dick to notice it and feel bad. He scrubs a hand over his face, exhaling hard. “The truth hurts worse than you think. And I’m not gonna put that on you.”

Jason pushes himself off of the wall and stretches with strategic lethargy. “Look, take it from a guy who came back from the dead too.” Dick flinches, but Jason barrels on. “The longer you keep him to yourself—away from everyone else—the longer it’ll take for him to process that life moved on without him.”

His friends can't know he's Robin, and there are no superheroes Dick's age--or so he thinks, until Bruce receives a call from Barry, desperately seeking mentorship advice. Dick asks to meet the Flash's new sidekick, but Bruce refuses; a fight ensues, ending in Dick getting grounded. One week in Gotham off patrol, and then two weeks alone, far from Gotham... at a little family farm in Smallville, Kansas.
And hey, if a certain Midwestern speedster sidekick just so happens to turn up, that'd be just fine. Or would it?

Wally has a couple brushes with cannibalism over the years. It's probably fine.
