Nyota shivered with something more than sympathy. She remembered alternate Sulu’s grip on her chin, his arms against the bare skin of her waist–and tugged at the hem of the long-sleeve top she’d donned like armor to leave her quarters. Leonard's voice shook as he stared down at his hands, eyes glazed over and lost in the oppressive memory of that place. He continued, “I got the injuries treated but that was all hypos and light regens, barely anything personal, nothing human about it.”

Nyota can't sleep after returning from the mirror universe, and her visit to the doctor's quarters takes an unexpected turn when she finds she wasn't the only one seeking the good doctor's support in the aftermath. -

McCoy was no Vulcan: he knew he couldn't repress his desires completely, knew it wasn’t healthy to do so; he acknowledged them, indulged in fantasies of strong slender fingers gripping his throat as he touched himself, let his bickering with Spock cross the line into flirtation. He was content to have private desires stay private, decided the risk was just not worth it, and it probably would have gone on that way forever if it weren’t for their unexpected adventure on Sarpeidon.

Jim had been informed during the briefing that the human members of the away team would be wearing some form of local attire in order to be more comfortable in the planet’s high heat and humidity, as well as timing their visit during the capitol city’s night. This knowledge did not prepare him for the reality of seeing the ship’s CMO in a pair of shorts so short the doctor’s usual boxers would have been visible out the bottom, had he been wearing them. Which he clearly wasn’t. Jim swallowed thickly and turned to Spock, who was quick to move off the transporter platform and over towards Jim. Spock had claimed alternative clothing would be unnecessary for himself given his Vulcan physiology, but given the green flush Jim could see peaking above his collar and across his face, that may have been an inaccurate assessment.
In a low voice unheard by the rest of the away team still on the platform, Spock murmured, “the flush is not from the heat, Jim.” -
