Summary
The time is 6 p.m., according to the cracked-egg clock nestled above Rui’s door frame, so the sun was just beginning to set. Light was refracting against the balloons and banners aloft on the ceiling, projecting a myriad of colors on the walls–which, combined with the chill in the air, was making Nene feel a bit nauseous.
“Let's practice the beginning of act one scene three one more time!” Tsukasa shouts, looking just as invigorated as he had when they first began. They were aliens–Nene was sure of it. There was no other explanation for their superhuman levels of energy, not to mention their otherworldly ideas.
“Aye aye captain!” Emu yells, darting up from her spot on the floor next to Nene, as if she hadn’t performed this scene five times already.
Yep. Definitely aliens.
Yet she can’t help but let a smile creep onto her face at the absurdity of it all.

“Are you certain about this?” He murmured softly, willing himself to make eye contact with Tsukasa again. “This seems like so much effort for a woman you met mere hours before now.”
“As certain as the tranquility to come with rain,” Tsukasa replied, and paused for only a split second before reaching his hand outwards towards the taller man.
A sharp exhale escaped between Rui’s lips, willing the shake in his body away as he grasped the other’s hand in his own. His script fluttered gently to the ground, landing a few inches away from where they stood. The two gazed into each other’s eyes, dandelion yellow melting with soft shades of orange and pink, and the next breath he attempted to allow passage seemed to catch in his own throat. Tsukasa looked almost dazed; his gaze clouded with an emotion that Rui couldn’t even attempt to describe. For a moment they simply breathed in tandem with each other, both hesitating to break the stupor they had carefully crafted around themselves, before Tsukasa, gentle as the morning sun, pulled Rui ever so closer.
or, tsukasa asks rui to help him practice a segment of their new play, and revelations are made.
