    Summary

Anthony Bridgerton has always believed that protection is a duty — one inherited the moment he became the head of his family.

Penelope Featherington has always existed under that quiet vigilance. Raised among the Bridgertons, she moved through their halls as though she belonged, becoming part of an order Anthony swore to preserve.

After Archibald Featherington’s death, Anthony extends his protection to the Featherington daughters, offering to guide their futures as he would his own sisters’. Yet it is Penelope who remains at the center of his concern.
What begins as duty turns into watchfulness. Care slips into jealousy. And feelings he never learned to name begin to threaten everything he believes he is protecting.

    Summary

Let’s talk about a Susan who never moved on, who buried her family in English soil and spent the rest of her life trying to find her way home. She did not believe lions were kind, but she always remembered a bow in her schoolgirl hands.

She looked in every old wardrobe she came across. It was casual, everyday– the first day in a new lecture hall, she checked the back of the coat closet. Friends had her over for Christmas dinner and she excused herself to go the bathroom, checked every cabinet and closet, and then headed back in for pudding. She went home with a cute boy she met in a smoky little pub and she checked his wardrobe before she headed home the next morning, heels in hand.

She also went to college, got a political science degree she had to fight for. She got a byline in the local paper, a few ladies’ magazines, then a larger regional publication.

She had mimosa brunches with friends. She read detective novels, never touched fantasy, and finally one day she stepped through an old stone archway barely thinking about it and–-

She was standing in a treeless plain, all yellow grass and blue blue skies.

    Summary

“When did you last sleep?” Lucy stumbles at last, clumsy and more obvious than she meant it to be, but maybe there are no good opening lines at moments like this.

Another one of those slow, brittle blinks. “Thursday,” Lockwood says, his voice sounding far away, untethered.

    She frowns. “Which Thursday?”

“A Thursday.” Lockwood tilts his head slightly, a statue coming to slow life. “We still have those, don’t we?”

    Summary

People disappear all the time. Most are found, eventually and disappearances, after all, have an explanation...usually.

Emma Baird falls asleep outside an unusual set of ruins while camping in the Irish countryside. When she wakes, she finds herself being chased through unfamiliar trees by creatures torn out of her worst nightmares and no way home.

Maybe she should have listened to her friends and finally read those books instead of solely relying on her movie knowledge to guide her.

Christopher Pike is much too old and much too experienced to fall for a twenty-two-year-old ensign, or at least, that’s what he tells himself. Shame it isn’t true.
