Simon had seen the newcomer before, in the early morning, through dark alleyways and the winding streets of Ferndale, ground just kissed by Michigan’s early winter frost. The ones that could venture out, did, likely wary of the stranger in the dark coat who sought out each of Jericho’s passpoints with frightening accuracy.
Not a lot of deviants made it to Jericho, but this one seemed to be holding up fine.

A mostly canon compliant piece with a lot of parallels to Jack/Rose in Titanic's storyline, and more in depth exploration of characters. It'll make more sense as the story progresses, and the Titanic parallels will eventually be interchangeable.

What happens if the School for Good and Evil’s handbook is left unattended? Well, there’s a possibility that a certain pair of students from Foxwood’s Arbed house might fill in the application forms as a joke and get much more than they bargained for.
If the School Master happened to read through a couple of these application forms, he’d find that ‘Aric of Foxwood’ reminded him quite a bit of an old friend. Perhaps he’d remember placing this friend in the wrong school, or that his friend died scared and alone at a bay of wish fish, leaving behind a reminder of his curse in a wave of gold. Maybe, just maybe, this child would do well in the School for Good, even if his success was just acting to survive. It would only be an experiment, for old times’ sake.
‘Japeth of Foxwood’ however, would attend the School for Evil and find that both he and his friend avoided what could have been an extremely awkward family reunion. They have the same goal as the two readers that just arrived at the school: find a way back home.
*YES I AM AWARE THAT THE SCHOOL HANDBOOK PROBABLY DIDN’T EXIST AT THIS TIME BUT THIS IS AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE AND I CAN DO WHAT I WANT*
