She walks over to her underwear drawer, and sorts through a few neon briefs and frilly floral panties. At the back of the drawer, she unearths a sheer, canary yellow thong. It’s been a while–at least four months–since she last wore these.
Harry gifted them to her last Christmas. She remembers watching his cheeks turn scarlet as she untied the red bow off the silver box, then pushed the soft tissue aside to see them delicately folded inside with a matching lacy bra and a book of John Donne’s poetry.

“So,” Liam tears the paper off a straw and swirls the ice around in his cup. There’s a lump in his throat he can’t seem to swallow down, and his hands are starting to quake. He hopes he isn’t too obvious, and god, he wishes he couldn’t remember Sunday night at all. It’d be a million times better to have it all wiped from his memory and bullshit his way through not knowing Zayn well, or even better, pretend he couldn’t remember him at all. He tears his eyes away from a bead of water sliding down the side of his cup to look up at Zayn. “How’ve you been?”
Zayn licks the corner of his mouth and clicks the top of his pen. “Can I get you started with anything?”

“The only dude who’s ever in his class,” Zayn sighs, head rolling onto his shoulder.
Niall’s talked about this Liam–a lot–always showing up at the crack of dawn with the biggest smile, sometimes with a cup of unsweetened green tea for Niall; how Liam immediately peels off his shirt (and must know he snaps some necks); Liam’s really sexy, Niall insists, especially by the end of it, broad and built like a–
“I know that, genius,” Louis says, wiping a trail of white dust down his black sweater.
“Fuck off–” Niall starts up again, waving his hand above his head, “Anyway, Liam–he brought his Harry with him finally.”
