Summary
Saki waved what seemed to be a romance manga above Ichika’s head. “My parents gave me these mangas back when I was in the hospital. This one’s about the protagonist trying four different ways to impress her old childhood best friend. If it could all work out for the protagonist at the end, then maybe I have a chance!”
She started showing Ichika her favourite scenes from the manga. Then it all spiralled to Saki occasionally bringing up the similarities between the main love interest and Shiho. Eventually, Saki snapped back to her situation. With the help of Ichika, there was no way Saki couldn’t get Shiho’s interest.
And so it begins… Saki’s quest to ask her old childhood best friend out. Saki had been meaning to do this since she was discharged from the hospital—she wrote a list of things she wanted to do this school year. A bit childish, yes, but the goal wasn’t impossible. No matter what happened, Saki’s resolve to achieve this was unshakeable.
