If someone had told George Karim three weeks ago that today he’d be snogging Lucy Carlyle on top of a pile of her dirty laundry in a tiny flat in Tooting he’d have called them mad.
Yet here he was, straddling her on her lumpy mattress, hands up her jumper and tongue in her throat.
It was bloody fantastic.
He should have paused to talk to her, to figure out what this meant. But if Lockwood and Lucy were both going to abandon any semblance of communication and be selfish arseholes than fine. He was tired of being the sensible one. George could be selfish too. -

The autumn sun was shining through the kitchen windows as George slowly folded his cake batter. It wasn’t the most complicated bake, but it required his attention to detail to keep the subtle flavors from becoming over-powering or the delicate sponge from falling flat. Which meant it was much harder for him to have Lockwood lurking at the kitchen table. His housemate had been reading the same section of the newspaper the entire time George had been baking and he suspected Lockwood’s true intention was to sneak a taste when George wasn’t looking.

“We could get started on your room, if you like.” Lockwood offers, slipping out of his suit jacket and kicking his trainers off. He starts down the hall towards her, unbuttoning and rolling up his shirt sleeves. It’s a bit obscene, actually, talking about her bedroom while fussing with his cuffs, forearms flexing. “Shouldn’t take too long. We can do it, just the two of us.”
“Actually.” She hedges, glancing up the stairs over her shoulder. “There’s something I’d like to show you.”
“Oh?” Lockwood puts a hand on the banister, leans into her space.
She almost forgot, he’s a teenage boy home alone for the first time with her too.
