Sometimes circumstances throw two people together and they click, like stray puzzle pieces. Maybe they form a nonsensical picture, but their edges line up perfectly.

Summary
They hadn't wanted to get married in the first place, but they really hadn't wanted to be imprisoned. So on a sunny day at the start of June they chose the lesser of two evils. Then at some point, between yearly liaisons to maintain their marriage status and bringing two children into the world, they became friends. Until the law is overturned and they're left divorced from someone they never shared their feelings with in the first place.
"For years, they spent nearly every weekend at this playground together; they may not have been a couple, but they were a family. In a cruel way, it was fitting that Bitts Park was now the place they met to exchange backpacks and children every other weekend."

Summary
When Mr. Charles Bingley rode into Hertfordshire to acquaint himself with Netherfield Park it was on a purely accidental recommendation. Bingley was the sort of open, easy young man whom people would not scruple to share their opinions with, and the solicitor who took it upon himself to advocate for Netherfield could certainly not be blamed for seeing a very desirable tenant in him. Bingley was at that time not yet of age two years and unmarried, but he had the sort of good-humoured and generous character that must recommend him to almost anybody.

Summary
Caroline Bingley did not possess friends in the true sense. Yes, she had allies, acquaintances, women who she got tea with and gossiped to, but not friends. Friends could abandon or betray you, leave you. In fact, Caroline firmly believed that everyone did. Her sister Louisa left her for a husband, and Charles left her for a wife. Love was finite, and Caroline refused to share. Maddeningly, Jane Bennet (now Bingley) could not get the idea through her thick head.
Or, Caroline Bingley learns to love and be loved.
