Taerae says this with such sincerity he might as well be asking Gyuvin to save the world. Another nubby hand closes around his shoulder. “I really don’t think–”
“You need to get it together and Kick Hao’s ass. Reclaim your rightful place as number one Freeze Master, or so help me Kim Gyuvin, I will pick up the emergency phone and call.”
“No, fuck—“ Gyuvin’s eyes blow wide. “Don’t call Papa Louie.”

He sees the ceiling. He sees himself counting the tiles as the man used him. He sees the satiated smile, feels the ghost of lips on his own. In every memory, the man morphs into Baby.
“If I gave him my body,” Ricky whispers with rue, “I wonder if he would’ve stayed.”

Ricky falls quiet. The blur of Gyuvin’s door is no longer clouded by sleep, but by the wetness in his eyes. When he blinks, droplets dampen Gyuvin’s hoodie.
It’s silent. Gyuvin shouldn’t notice. Nobody ever notices.

Summary
Ricky’s hand clasps his jaw. His fingertips are cold, sharp in contrast to the warmth flooding Gyuvin’s face. “Open your mouth.”
Sticky sweet nicotine curls and tumbles in and out, the fog spilling from Ricky’s lips to his own steadily. It feels like summertime ice cream trucks, smells like Strawberry Shortcake DVDS and flavored lip balm.
Ricky’s head inclines, lips dangerously close as he breathes the rest of the smoke onto Gyuvin’s tongue.
Gyuvin sees God.

Gyuvin inhales through his nose. Ice forms in the pit of his stomach, steaming against the warm water.
“Really?”
“Yeah. Otis. Los Angeles.”
“That’s… fuck. Ricky. That’s amazing.”

“The older one?” Jake stammers. “On the left.” Unhelpfully, he holds up the glass of soda. “He got the coke.”
Just as abruptly as it arrived, all the tension drains from Jay’s expression. “Oh, good. Because I call dibs on the other one.”

“When we kiss—“
“Hold up,” Hao frowns. “‘When’? Why would we kiss?”
Hanbin blinks. “Because couples kiss all the time? Wouldn’t it be suspicious for Taerae to never see us kiss?”
By the heavens, the kid’s got a point. Smart boy. “Okay, sure. If—”
“When.”
“—we kiss, we should probably save it as a last resort. Like, a make it or break it type of situation where Taerae and Matthew are really suspicious of us.”
For some reason, Hanbin doesn’t seem too pleased by that idea, his mouth puckered in a sad little pout. Why he would be sad though, is beyond Hao.
“What was your question?” Hao prompts, tempted to reach over and smooth the furrow of Hanbin’s knit brow with his fingers.
Like magic, Hanbin perks up and his eyes glitter with the glory of a sky full of stars. “Can I use tongue?”
Or, Hao lies to his best friend that he has a boyfriend. Thankfully Sung Hanbin is more than happy to go along with the charade, but why are his eyes so damn sparkly, why is he so warm all the time, and why does he keep asking if they can kiss with tongue?
