The kisses resumed a moment later; butterfly kisses dotted to the back of Cas’ neck. The touches were so feather soft it made Cas’ head spin.
“Do you,” kiss, “know,” another kiss, “what day,” three kisses in a row, “it is,” two more chaste kisses, “today?” Dean asked, ending with a long lingering kiss against Cas’ pulse point in Cas’ neck.
Cas nodded, gasping a breath against the overwhelming onslaught of tender touches, unable to utter the words. Of course he knew. How could he ever forget? A few beats of silence pass, almost to the extent of worrying Dean that he’s been caught eavesdropping.

He plasters on a content grin and tries to pretend as if his very bones aren’t rattling from fear, marching in with an unexpectedly rough, “Mornin’,” as he makes his way into the kitchen—thoroughly interrupting Sam’s apprehensive, “What do you mean ‘other reasons’?”.
