Sometimes, it just happens; the emotions whirlpooling around inside of his body becoming too much, and he doesn't know how to fully express, nor decompress, without snapping at someone or starting some wack ass fight to let off some steam.
But once Husk entered his life, his bedroom, his everything, things changed. Their dynamic shifted somewhere in their budding relationship. Angel, much to his credit, was not familiar with anything remotely similar to the word "healthy". Husk, on the other hand, this was the first time he gave more than a singular fuck to try for someone. They wanted to do good by each other. But it was difficult when you blend an emotionally wrecked spider, and and emotionally stunted cat.
They made it work, though, through trial and error.

It started as a stray comment over a drink—a joke about discipline that neither of them took seriously. But when Sonic kisses Shadow, things feel different. Exciting. They meld into this new relationship, navigating grief, quirks, and each other’s bodies.
