MK deflated, lowering his staff. He stayed silent as his gaze fell, avoiding Macaque's scrutiny. He was really hoping he could avoid talking.
OR: MK struggles dealing with dissociative episodes and insecurity, and meditating doesn't help. He can't get it together. Macaque helps him through it.

Summary
Athras and Tallis aren't friends.
They work together because they have to, they're two out of four parts of Unit Viper, a team sent to work against the Dread Wolf.
They happen to sleep together on a regular basis, but it's purely physical. Just taking care of a need. Anything more was unnecessary and asking for hurt. Athras goes to meet Tallis as usual but things don't follow their typical routine.

Summary
Wukong sagged into his unconcerned, slightly smug companion, pouting further when he didn’t react to the contact between them. Well, he’d be sure to rectify that by the end of the night.
“You deny me my fun for now, but be sure to know I’ll be making up for it tomorrow!” Macaque just scoffed, taking another bite from his bao bun. Leaning closer, mouth tucked behind three ears glamoured as one, he whispers, “Or I could have my fun with you tonight?”
As expected, Macaque chokes on his mouthful, his embarrassment saved by everyone else busying themselves with the tables spread. Lucky for him.

Or: Wukong, Macaque and the rest of the brotherhood decide to celebrate beating a clan of enemy demons by visiting a local hot spring, something Wukong's never been too. Wukong is determined to eat, drink and have fun (with Macaque especially) to his hearts content, but when one of those things is denied to him by Macaque not joining them for the hot springs, he finds a way around things.Bookmarked by cbds

this series of fics should be required reading for anyone who wants to know how to write complex relationships and characters. this author really has a way with emotion that is authentic to the characters experiences and personalities and to the nature of being human (er, monkey). healing isnt easy. its a long, intentional road, and this author proves it.
the first part very quickly took up a place of "supplemental canon" for how clearly the author understands the characters and the complexities of old wounds found from misunderstanding and assumptions, along with how seamlessly it builds upon lmk and jttw's established canons. this author truly understands, and loves, the world shes writing in and the characters shes writing for.

Maybe it was the summer mountain heat frying Macaque’s brain… But Wukong has smelled absolutely delectable recently. Wukong smells like a peach, grown ripe and tender under the sun. He smells like the skin of the peach fermenting under the harsh rays, while the flesh inside stays juicy and crisp.
Wukong smells like peaches, and Macaque can’t help but wonder if he tastes like it too.
