“Good. It’s…going good,” Mike replies. She nods and sips her hot chocolate.
“Mrs. Byers.” She looks up at him and Mike feels his heart beat faster. “Why did you make three hot chocolates?”
She takes her time to answer. “I don’t know,” she replies after a while. “It felt like the right thing to do today.”

Summary
“Don’t worry, I’ll do it,” Mike protests weakly, but Will ignores him. “You need to rest, yeah,” he continues softly, swallowing audibly at the thought of Will’s fingers on him again.
“I want to take care of—” Will mumbles, fumbling for gauze and bandages, his focus wavering. Mike notices the flush creeping up Will’s cheeks, bright and vivid against his otherwise pale, tired skin. And it warms something inside Mike, just a little, because Will wants to take care of him.
