Summary
He’d fall asleep to the thought of it, in that bedroom - how he’d left to live in a studio apartment two miles down the road at twenty, disappearing entirely at twenty six and returning at twenty eight, bitter as lemon rinds and just as easy to pick to pieces - and then he’d wake up, still only himself.

Summary
Wilbur grew up in the foster care system without a penny to his name or a home to call his own. Even long after he's grown out and left, he rots in a dead end job with nothing and no one to lean on. Well, until he meets a certain child and his family in a less than perfect situation.
(the title is based on Blonde Hair, Black Lungs by Sorority Noise, but I switched the blonde with brown so it could fit lol)

Summary
Hunter is the golden guard, a figure of justice and authority, he listens to his superiors and does exactly as told. He does not chase dreams or the boys he sees in them, and he does not know warmth in his cold little world of scars and fear and broken bones.
Edric is a Blight. Not a good Blight, he isn't what his parents want him to be. He's uncaring and mischievous and has a reputation for ruining things, as well as a knack for working his way into places he doesn't belong, like on peoples nerves, and in their hearts. But most of all, he feels alone in his big world of empty hallways and closed doors.
or in which they meet in a dream, and something keeps pulling them back together
