This most recent instance of dimension hopping had picked up Mack’s messy feelings like a claw machine from where she had tried to abandon them in the fake sand of the fake beach, and dropped them on Brady’s living room couch in the shape of two real humans, wide eyed and bushy tailed and counting on her to take their hands and guide them through this new world.
So now, on top of worrying about possible black mold in the basement, the drawer full of forged documents in her desk, and her and Brady’s almost empty bank accounts that were somehow supposed to feed two extra mouths, Mack had to worry about the way Lela’s batting eyelashes and Tanner’s smiles made her weak in the knees.Series

Summary
Megan's eyes are a rich gold during the night, two suns before sunrise, and watch Lara with the keen focus of a hunter. This used to make Lara nervous, way back when Megan was a timid kit hiding in shadows away from Lara's light. Lara remembers the feeling of being watched, the hairs on her arms rising only to turn around and find nothing.
Now Megan's attention still gives her goosebumps, but for a much different reason.
After running around the forest all night, Megan returns to her girlfriend and their warm bed before even shifting back.
