Cupped by his palms was a baby bowl, spoon tucked in the ceramic's curve. He leaned against the counter’s ledge, head low—mind clouded with thoughts of rest—but he kept his attention fixed to his left. Beside him was the one he bumped into at this ungodly hour, the idol who invited him to tag along in a sleepy lisp.
Nazuna, Rinne had reminded himself. Nazusagi-chan.
“Aah~ That sure hits the spot ♪” Nazuna lit up the way the lanyards of lights did after sunset: all warm and bright. Outside, they must’ve burned strong, illuminating a dim path through the courtyard’s unknown. Picking up on Rinne’s stillness, he spoke, “Rinne-senpai, aren’t you gonna eat? It’s gonna melt if you don’t.”

If it weren't for that, maybe Nazuna would've played along and invited him in too. Must’ve been a rough day. So, Rinne shut himself up. Perhaps, it was for the better. They exchanged good bye waves instead.

Summary
The mattress sinks with Rinne’s weight. A hand taps the centre of his chest, palm pressing against the silver of his necklace and pushes him against the bed frame. Two pillows support Rinne’s fall, and his body catches Nazuna.
There should be discernible features that come with Nazuna’s silhouette, but it’s dark and grim in this rented-out apartment bedroom. Uneven blond hair, ruby eyes, and a focused stare; a face to remind him of a certain name and the ringing of a person’s voice. A shadow- nothing. Nothing is what Rinne sees, nothing but mere uncertainty and the feeling of someone straddling him.
