Summary
Phainon still can’t shake the feeling of being in the arena, Mydei underneath him, ready for his dagger to slide right into the right place. He thought of the night before, of unsaid confessions, of quiet complacency whilst losing themselves in the sheets.
It was supposed to be an end, the end. Of them both. Phainon had been ready to give Mydei what he asked for, and then turn his blade upon himself, but then the crowd called for the both of them to be spared.
After being spared in the Arena, Mydei and Phainon share a lazy morning together.

Summary
Kaveh is a snoop, and so he recognizes Alhaitham’s tidy handwriting as he passes the notice board one library afternoon: ‘To the nosy Kshahrewar Student who insists upon interrupting my study time—don’t.’
Kaveh is an impulsive creature. He’s already pulling out a charcoal from his satchel. Like a weapon in his hand, Kaveh drags the tip of it across the notice, crossing out Alhaitham’s passive-aggressive note. In comparison, his handwriting is like chicken scratch, but if Alhaitham squints, he might be able to make out the important bits.
Tighnari looks over his shoulder. “That’s a rude thing to call him.” When Kaveh meets his face, though, he shares a smug smile.
Kaveh and Alhaitham fall in love at school through passive-aggressive notes. Written for Remembrance, a Haikaveh Akademiya Zine.
