Summary
You don’t usually venture into any of the spaces filled with men and unnatural moonlight, and you know the beasts with the two big glowing moons in their roaring faces are dangerous. But the beast you come across tonight is stilled, and is only accompanied by a single man. The beast’s moons have been darkened, a strange ticking emitting from its mouth as it sits in wait with the man.
The man is brazenly perched on top of his beast’s strange snout. Smoke curls into the night air on some of the man’s exhales. The pups at your back shy nervously away at the thought of fire burning inside a man, but you see the burning thing is actually in the man’s paw. Your fear is the healthy wariness of men, nothing so deep-rooted and powerful as the fear of fire.
Modern Van der Linde gang AU: You are the coyote that gave John Marston his scars. That's it. That's the whole premise.

Summary
“Very prepared man, aren’t you?” Arthur asked, looking into Charles’ brown eyes. Looking at him felt the same as that very night. Calm, quiet, gentle, warm.
A warm breeze passed over the pair of men as they looked at one another. Charles nodded, walking to Taima and securing his bedroll to the saddle.
“Would you…” Charles started softly, weakly. “Would you like to go hunting with me?”
Arthur thought for a moment. “I wouldn’t mind.”
It was what he needed, really. Some real time away from camp. Charles wasn’t bad company.Bookmarked by bug_timee

Summary
If he was being honest with himself, which he usually tried to be, than he was perhaps treating this feller with a bit more kindness than usual because he was attractive. Charles wasn't stupid enough to act on it. It was just as he'd thought earlier — they were strangers, they knew nothing of each other, and the world was a dangerous place. But he also wasn't one to turn away from a nice view just because it was tempting. Especially when said view was only temporary. It was best to enjoy these things while he still could. He could handle the temptation just fine, even if this feller was handsome and good to his horses and had a charming drawl that twanged against Charles' heartstrings.
A retelling of the events of RDR2 from Charles Smith's point-of-view. Heavy on the soft cowboys and introspection. Currently in Horseshoe Overlook.

Summary
Charles was by no means a good man. Being a bounty hunter was a sick irony that the universe had cast upon him. Being a sinner, pretending to be a saint. Yet, when given a bounty by a Mr. Dutch Van der Linde to hunt down an old associate, Charles discovers not a hardened master-mind of a criminal, but a father trying to raise his son.
---------------
AU where the Blackwater robbery was successful, but Arthur steals some of the money to save his son, John, and John's family. Charles is given a bounty to hunt him down and return the man to his leader, who he once considered his father.

Summary
When had this ugly shame gotten such a hold on him? When had it grown so great that he couldn’t even speak the memory of those he’d loved and lost?
The words finally tore free of him. “I had a son once.”
“Oh.” Charles’ response seemed underwhelming, but the awful truth of it must have hit him a second later, as he all but collapsed against Arthur’s side. “Oh, Arthur.”
In the wake of Jack's rescue from Angelo Bronte and return to Shady Belle, Arthur finds himself unable to celebrate with the rest of the gang. Seeing John come so close to losing his son has inevitably brought up the guilt and grief of his own lost son. He steps away to deal with it alone, but runs into Charles on patrol. It isn't long before the awful truth of it comes spilling out of him.

Summary
“How Colm explained it to me was…” Charles thought for a moment to collect his thoughts. “We need to train together to learn each other’s moves. To be so perfectly matched that the entire match will be to predict the other’s routine.”
“Huh. That sounds kinda boring.”
“Not if we go the distance. Give people their money’s worth.” Charles said. “What would be boring is a KO in the first round, even if I were the one doing it.”

Summary
To say the St. Denis bank robbery went poorly would be an understatement.
To even say it was a disaster would be too nice.
It made Blackwater look like a slight mishap.

Summary
The last shot is accompanied by the trail of a cry, shrill, angry, fearful. Arthur lowers his revolver. Blinks. Tongues at a bloody tooth from getting hit while strangling an O’Driscoll, spits red mucus onto one of the bodies on the floor.
The crying starts up again, as if sensing Arthur’s confusion. For a moment, Arthur thinks it must be some poor lady these savages have taken alongside the house, but quickly knows it to be untrue. It’s too—wet, pointless in a way only the young can manage, knowing that something is wrong but not knowing what. Just a shout, not the bellowing anguish of someone who knows what god-awful situation they have been put in.
“Christ,” he says, once, twice. “Christ.”
or
Arthur accidentally adopts a baby, and, despite his best judgement, ends up starting to raise him. He falls in love with Charles along the way.

Summary
There's a fire in Arthurs' soul and he's not sure who lit it. It lies just below the surface, crackling and roaring, scathing anyone who gets too close. He tried at one point to put the fire out, to hide the flaming spilling out from the cracks in his foundation, but it never brought him an ounce of good or a hint of deliverance.
Or, Arthur is flooded with guilt and self hatred, Charles finds him and helps him feel better.
Arthur is very out of it in this so he might seem ooc but I tried my best to stay accurate while depicting what he's going through idk
Idk what this is and I'm bad at summaries but I tried my best

Summary
“Herr Strauss,” Arthur greets, teeth gritted, plastering a fake smile onto his face. “How goes your money lendin’ business?”
“Ah, Herr Morgan.” Strauss turns on the rock, beady eyes swivelling around to peer up at him behind his spectacles. “It’s going swimmingly. As I like to say, Herr Morgan, there exists not a debtor who is unable to pay, only a debtor who is unwilling to pay. A little prod is all that is needed!”
Arthur sighs. “Okay,” he says, ready to confront the inevitable. “Well, do you need me to… prod anyone for you?”
“Ah! Not right now, Herr Morgan, not right now,” Strauss says. Arthur looks at him, confused. “As I said, swimmingly! I gave Herr Smith a list of debtors a few days back and he’s managed to get the money from all of them. Efficient work, that man does, though that leaves none for you, I’m afraid.”
── ⋅⋅⋅ ──
In which Arthur dies, lives, and almost dies again at the shock of it. And he swears that this time, in his future, he will not make the mistakes of his past.
And little does he know, he's not in this alone.

Summary
It’s a bit childish, he thinks. But with Charles’s hand in his, he finds it difficult to keep his hands still.
He can feel each knuckle beneath the pads of his fingers, knuckles hardened and covered in thick calluses from all those decades of rough living. Even without looking he knows that Charles has pretty fingers - yes, pretty, he thinks - and they are long, defined, strong.
Even with the scars and rough skin that mars the back of his hand, his palms are always warm and soft, and it’s intimate, in a way simply holding hands shouldn’t be, whenever Arthur thinks too pointedly about the way the heat from Charles’s hand seeps into his own palm where they touch.
