Summary
Two years after Mike and Will went their separate ways, they slowly fell out of contact after Mike became consumed by self-hatred and a stagnant life, and Will was finally given the opportunity to explore his identity and passions.
After Mike finally gets his shit together and runs into Jonathan, he shows up at Will’s door one rainy evening with no dignity left to spare, inciting what becomes a ritualistic routine of finding each other in the cracks of dawn and having all the hard conversations they were once too scared to have, insisting that he won’t let Will be ‘the one that got away’.
