Summary
Instead of dying a fiery, horrific death, Jason Todd watches as a strange man with eerie eyes and a too-casual attitude towards death saves his life... seemingly at the cost of his own. He is, understandably, more than a little bit shaken up over it.

And that his mentors are the Avengers. And the fact that he was randomly kidnapped one morning on his way to school and now he's in an alternate universe with a bunch of different superheroes that keep stalking him.
He thinks they mean well, but they're really weird. Besides that Red Hood guy. He's pretty cool. Though something about them- especially Nightwing- is familiar...
