“And this is a special occasion!” Yelena pointed out. Sam turned to her, locking his jaw if only to keep it from falling open in surprise. He had expected Scott to want to jump in on the idea of a party, but Yelena? Even if she was less stoic than her sister, she still normally provided a healthy dose of nihilism that counterbalanced Scott’s unwavering optimism.
“I agree with Yelena,” Wanda said. Sam’s eyes drifted over to the Sokovian sitting at the very back of the table, who was smiling at the Widow. Fuck if even Wanda, who had been so dejected since they came back from the snap, wanted a party. Then maybe…
“Alright. Tomorrow night we will have a party at the compound," Sam said, getting interrupted by cheers and highfives before he could even finish getting the words out.
