Summary
When his parents first ask him whether or not he understands why they as humans are born to despise sorcerers more than anything else on this earth, Jeongguk— who’s nothing more than a small child— nods his head, and proceeds to carry that lesson throughout his entire life. Even when he too somehow turns out to have been born a sorcerer, Jeongguk vows to never let himself forget that lesson.
But when his powers spiral out of control one day and he nearly risks the whole kingdom finding out about them, he’s forced to become an apprentice under Kim Taehyung— a mysterious sorcerer that’s been locked up underneath the castle for years— and finds it difficult to hate him despite everything he’s been warned of.

Summary
There’s something about the way Jeongguk presents himself— strong, confident, loud. Taehyung fell in love with him in a way that was easier than breathing, even though it was frowned upon.
Because Jeongguk was an alpha, and Taehyung was a beta.

Summary
This is when Oikawa turns towards him, facing Iwaizumi fully. One of his legs is slightly folded and tucked against his front, with both of his hands resting atop of his thigh. His eyes roam across Iwaizumi’s face as though he’s searching for something; subjecting Iwaizumi to that familiar scrutinizing gaze that often leaves him feeling strangely exposed. “You practice,” he says matter-of-factly. “With me.”
Iwaizumi can feel the exact moment his brain decides to short-circuit.
or: oikawa teaches iwaizumi how to kiss.

Atsumu takes a long swig from his glass before setting it in the sink with a light tap.
“Anyone could have walked in here and seen ya like this,” he says slowly, voice edging with something sinister as he takes three long strides to cross the room. “Ya realize that, right? Anyone?”

Summary
Suguru clears his throat, puts down his notes, and explains, “Satoru doesn’t date.”
And that stings a little. It hurts. Because it means that Suguru’s noticed he’s never really gone out with anyone before, that he’s very much aware of Satoru’s lack of experience here. He’s noticed and done nothing about it, which -
“Well, gotta start some time, yeah?” Satoru jokes, covering up his discomfort with a laugh he hopes doesn’t sound too fake. “Better late than never.”
Shoko laughs, waving a hand at him as she goes back to her textbook - which is more or less what Satoru expects, very much used to her casual indifference to his antics at this point in their continued association.
What he doesn’t expect is the way that Suguru freezes; he is entirely unprepared for the way that Suguru goes very, very still, those warm brown eyes that Satoru loves so much going dark with what he thinks is dismay.
“Are you… are you serious?” he asks, his voice small. “You have a date?”
Satoru blinks. “Um, yeah.”
“With who?”
Satoru makes an assumption about Suguru and Shoko's relationship. Things get very messy, very fast.

Summary
underdevelopment (photography):
the state of an image that has not yet reached its full form; details suspended, unfinished, waiting for time and care to bring them out.Two years after they made a life together, mornings have finally learned how to be quiet. The kids are out for the weekend, the cat’s on loan to Tsumiki, and Suguru wakes to the rare luxury of Satoru heavy and unguarded in his arms. They have a house to themselves and plans that involve nothing more complicated than breakfast and staying in bed.
Satoru’s phone won’t stop ringing.
When a call drags him into a shift that wasn’t his, a catastrophic accident turns the day inside out. Satoru has built his life on saving other people—on being the one who walks in, never the one carried out. Recovery asks for the thing he hates most: surrender. Suguru can keep a city’s worth of facts straight, but he can’t make Satoru believe that being cared for isn’t the same as failing.
Rings that glint in hospital light, marks that fade slower than they should, and the long, stubborn work of learning that always sometimes means letting someone hold you up.
Sequel to overexposure.
