Something to reminisce on years in the future, someday in the far off future when she was asked about her college years. But the real selling point had been Elphaba, of course it had.

This nailed the summer atmosphere so perfectly that maybe I don't need this winter coat at all. Galinda is actual sunshine, and Elphaba is just so cute, and their friends to lovers is just adorable, and Nessa/Boq/Fiyero all being part of Elphie's found family are just awesome. Very lovely fic.

Vaggie led Charlie’s hands to the front of her shirt, popping the first button open with ease, the rest following suit until Vaggie’s shirt was pulled over her head and Charlie’s hands were skimming down her abdomen.
Lately, they hadn’t had a lot of time for moments like this, where hands could roam and lips could find soft skin. Vaggie understood, of course, but it had still sucked.
What didn’t suck, though, was the right now, with her lips on Charlie’s and Charlie’s hands on her hips as Vaggie pressed her down into the mattress.

“Everything’s going to be fine. I love you.” And the words shatter something inside. Elphaba gives her a small smile, but it's edged with sadness. She presses her lips together to hold back her grief. It’s a wild and angry thing that rattles the bars of the cage she has around it.
Elphaba leans back, arms moving to swing the doors shut and Glinda panics. She unfreezes and lets impulse take over.
Her right arm stays curled around the Grimmerie, holding it close. Tight enough to bruise. Her left hand reaches out to Elphaba’s collar, tugs hard on the black material, and surges forward.
AKA
Couldn’t help but think that they should’ve kissed during their last scene together, so I wrote it. Featuring an eventual happy ending but with some devastation first.
