Dark returned to where Chosen was stripped of his power to make sure he was defeated for good, and to taunt him for one last time. He had to show he didn't die all those years ago. Chosen, unfortunately, wanted nothing more than to apologize, which made Dark extremely uncomfortable.

"We both love him," EMF stated the obvious. It shut Seawatt's sneaky mouth, leaving a taste of satisfaction in theirs. "It's not going to work out for either of us."

Evbo kept doing it. He kept bothering Seawatt with things that shouldn't concern him at all. Like the designs of alternate versions of Pro and Master houses. Or how he should arrange the books in the Master level's public library. Or small things, like if he liked the color of red or orange glass panes more.
After Seawatt's resurrection, Seawatt and Evbo kept coming back to each other. It took them a while to figure out why.
