Joyce stares at him for a moment before she clues in. That damn list. She falls back into the pillows with a defeated groan.

Hopper threw his jacket on the sand and they sat on the beach for a while, talking about the future. At some point, silence fell between them, and he lost himself in the image of Joyce. Her face radiated peace as she stared absently at the waves dancing on the shore. Unable to help himself, he leaned in for her lips, his hand tangling in her hair, and gently pulling her down until they were lying on the sand.

Joyce and Hopper head to Montauk to start building their future: making Hop’s new position official, searching for their dream house, and get to know the new town where they hope to spend the rest of their lives together.
