Summary
After ending up in the Spell Damage Ward at St Mungo’s, Harry is put on mandatory holiday leave.
The catch: he has to spend it with Malfoy at his cottage deep in the woods. Harry has no idea why Malfoy agreed to host him, considering he avoided ever being alone in a room with Harry before he left for his sabbatical a year ago.

Daniel felt dizzy, unable to get her eyes to focus on anything at all, as she turned to the painting—so carefully pasted to the page by Alice—on the next page. None of this writing explained why Ƚa Diavola looked familiar, how it was possible for Daniel to recognize a woman who burned to death in 1554.
A phantom sensation crept along Daniel’s jaw, like someone’s hand just barely touching her skin, and she flinched, every muscle in her body tense, squeezing her eyes closed. Except the woman in the painting was behind Daniel’s eyelids, too, burned into her retinas. Ƚa Diavola, ice-cold fingertips on Daniel’s jaw as those contempt-filled golden eyes stared through Daniel’s own and directly into her mind, into every shameful and cruel thing Daniel had ever done, sneering in disdain and disappointment at what she saw.Bookmarked by beckiee
