Summary
“I’m sorry you have nightmares,” Mike mumbles after a minute, like he doesn’t really mean for Will to hear it. There’s no sound other than their own shallow breathing, so the sound reverberates in the quiet.
“It’s not your fault,” Will answers. Now that the effects of Mike’s being here are starting to wear off, the exhaustion of the time and the circumstances are starting to wear on him, settle deep into his bones. Mike lifts his head, brown eyes staring at him imploringly.
“I know.” Mike says. “I’m sorry anyway.”
