    Summary

“You’re here! Oh, Sozo missed you! It has been too… too long…!” Too long. Too long. Where were they? How could they have left him like this?

“Do you have– have you brought the mushrooms Sozo asked?” Sozo knelt to meet the Lamb, disguising his light-headedness as reverence. He can smell them. The mushrooms were calling him. He’s so hungry.

The Lamb stared up at him, wide-eyed, and bleated. They held out two mushrooms.

    … two.

Sozo’s smile widened. His eye twitched. A humorless laugh forced its way out of his dry throat.
“You… are funny! Yes, your jokes. Sozo’s pale under their light! Haha…”

    Surely that wasn’t all.

    Another bleat.

    They hadn’t been to Anura.

    That was it.

    Summary

Narinder, having given his role as God of Death to the Lamb, is now set to spend the rest of his days relaxing with the new family he had formed.

Perhaps he'll even be able to mend the gaps with his old one, given another chance.

    Summary

Whilst traversing Anura's humid wilderness, you find a journal on the ground, half-buried in leaf litter and mushrooms. It reeks quite heavily of decay, but no body clings to it in their departure.

Curious, you pick it up, dust it off, and take a peek inside.

It is the story of an old mycologist, just on the brink of retirement, who chose to go on one last excursion for the purposes of furthering his research.
    It was indeed his last.
