"All that I'm hearing is that you love me, Corbeau," Philippe teased, and baring his heart open so casually was worth it, for the flush that overtook Corbeau's cheeks made him believe that he could take on anything this wretched world would throw at them, if he has his boss-and-boyfriend by his side.
Or: perhaps there was a silver lining from having his important keys gobbled down by his Skamory, for Philippe's time of need helped to reveal a problem that has hid itself from his sight, and moved his relationship with Corbeau into a more meaningful one.

There, fiddling with the coffee maker on the marble countertop, was Corbeau, dressed in nothing but a stolen sweater that has seen better days and obviously belonged to Philippe, not letting the excess fabric that drowned him all the way down to his exposed knees restrict him from plucking the sugar, creamer, and mugs so they were within his reach, nor did he look any less angelic each time, especially when Lumiose City granted them a sunny weather to start their day, illuminating the wooden interiors of his kitchen and the single person flitting around it in its golden warmth.
It was all the more touching in the mornings where Philippe’s Skamory kept Corbeau company for him, just like today.
Or: a slow, sunny morning with Corbeau was the perfect way for Philippe to start his day, even with the little intances of chaos along the way.
