Mike ruins a perfectly good night out. Will calls him on it, and the next hour is spent making a mess of their dorm room and realizing they've been an inch away from this for a decade.
Or: Mike is a possessive disaster, Will is done playing nice, and they both find out exactly what happens when you stop pretending to be just friends.

Max huffed, lifting herself up to sit on the kitchen counter next to where Will was brewing a pot of coffee. “Seriously? We’ve been through this about a dozen times already.”
“I know, I know! It’s just—I don’t know, I’m feeling a little nervous about it.” Will anxiously tapped his fingers on the countertop, staring at the slow drip of the coffee. “I don’t love the idea of lying to Mike–what if he completely freaks out?”
