sixteen days. the Paris Olympics last sixteen days, but that can change everything.
percy jackson has just switched from swimming to diving, and to be completely honest, he’s never felt worse about the decision. sure, did he hate swimming a lot? yes. but he was damn good at it, and every press conference did not fail to remind him of that fact.
annabeth chase has always had her head on her shoulders. she’s the number one womens’ fencer in the world right now. she can’t afford a loss in her peak— because surely, the loss would mean her slow descent into another irrelevant woman athlete. her part-time mom, part-time coach certainly don’t want distractions for her, which is exact what percy jackson is.
