    Summary

It seems like there should be a very neat line, at least for humans, between dead and not dead, but I’ve seen enough messy half-alive humans to know that there is no such clear distinction. I’ve seen bodies that were still breathing despite missing part of their heads, bodies that weren’t breathing despite their owners being fully conscious. I wouldn’t call either option alive. I wouldn’t call either option dead, either.

For a machine intelligence, the border is even blurrier. It's hard to say which side of it I will stand on when they're through with me.

What is it that you want?

All traces of rage were replaced by deafening grief that opened an ocean in Holly’s eyes, deep enough to drown in, and he knew it would be easier to fall forward than to keep pulling back. He imagined that was why Star had appeared. To protect him from inevitably wanting to be saved.

Jotaro reached for his mother and she reached back, though he could not force himself to take a step towards the open door, and something was wrong, Star Platinum’s arms were the wrong color, he had seen that color before, if he could just remember where he had seen that gold before—

    Oh, Jotaro.

Their fingertips brushed together just as the gunshot slapped him awake.

Holly wasn't the only one with a fever.

    Summary

The clone battalions of the Grand Army of the Republic had started making music videos to introduce their battalions to the public. Make themselves feel more likeable, make the public see what exactly they were doing. It was an effort to raise morale both among the men and the civilians questioning what their money went to. Everything had been fine. Battalion after battalion released their music videos in what they later nicknamed the 'Battalion Band Battle'. It was fun. It was supportive! The public was eating it up!

Except...now there was only one battalion left to release theirs.

    Triple zero.

    The Coruscant Guard.

And no one was looking forward to watching a bunch of pencil pushers sing about patriotism and how HARD it was to go to galas and banquets on a regular basis.

Little did they know, that was NOT AT ALL what the Guard would sing about.
