Lex snatches the phone and glowers at the paused video with a very different, technically familiar man hunched with their nose in their screen behind White in the same place as the newspaper photo. “That is Clark Kent.”
“Yes, sir,” the CO says, annoyingly hesitant, “I-I mean, he looks a little different in this one, sure –”
“A little?” Lex snaps, then taps a knuckle at the paper on the desk. “Are you fucking blind?”
The CO rolls her lips between her teeth.
Lex growls under his breath and minimizes the browser, bringing up the first social media site that comes up on autocomplete. He searches Clark Kent, taps on the ‘Reporter :)’ result and scowls when he sees it gets updated about once a millennium. It is, also, that same face from the press conference, not the one in the paper. He scrolls, and scrolls, and–
Wait. That’s what it is – it’s all videos. He doesn’t see a single still photo in the lot.

"What are you talking about?" cried Superman. "Gotham is an American city and you have no right to say someone isn't allowed to live here. Besides, it has a long history of metahuman protectors. Alan Scott has been here before you were even born, and Dinah used to live here too, and there's also--"
Batman was annoyed. He was pretty sure No Metahumans In Gotham was canon, but he'd never actually read a comic book so he couldn't prove it. All his information came from TikToks and tumblr posts. Was it possible he'd beaten a woman to a pulp based on poorly thought-out headcanons? Luckily, he had a fallback. "I'm the richest man in Gotham and that means it's my city and I decide how it operates."

Summary
After a magical accident in the department of mysteries, Harry Potter finds himself trapped in 1943 at Hogwarts, during Tom Riddle's fifth year, and-you guessed it-sorted into Slytherin. With no clear way back to his own time, Harry must navigate the dangers of the past while avoiding suspicion from the enigmatic Riddle. As Harry gets closer to Riddle, he realizes the dark future that awaits, and he must find a way to survive the year, prevent a tragedy, possibly kill Tom Riddle, and get home.
Just your average cliche tomarry fic :)
