Summary
It’s Buck’s first thought—I lost Eddie. He thinks it before he realizes, before he’s aware enough to know that he’s having a first thought, which meant he wasn’t awake and is now.
He lost Eddie. One moment Eddie was there, and the next there was a car where Eddie had been, and Buck doesn’t know what happened then. He just thinks, I lost Eddie I lost Eddie I lost Eddie, over and over, and as it whirls through his mind he realizes a few other things—like the fact that he was also right by where the car hit Eddie, which means Buck also was probably hit by the car. And like the fact that his side hurts, and his leg.Or, a call goes badly and leads to Buck thinking that Eddie is hurt and possibly dead, and Eddie thinking that Buck is hurt and possibly dead, and everyone else thinks they're dumb.

Summary
The shack was so quiet. He could hear Ghost's teeth clacking together every now and then.
"Don't suppose you've got any Scotch in one of these pockets, aye?" Soap asked, if only to dispel the quiet.
Ghost lifted his eyes from Soap's hands to his face.
"Bourbon," he corrected quietly--none of the usual heat behind the word. "And no."Escaping from a mission gone wrong, Ghost takes a dip in a frozen river and gets himself hypothermia. Soap knows just how to fix it.

Summary
The energy of the room shifts suddenly as Jamie’s eyes widen. It’s as though he’s just waking up, looking around quickly to get his bearings straight- as if he doesn’t remember coming to Roy’s house at all. Maybe he doesn’t. When his startled expression finally lands on Roy just off to the side, Jamie’s eyebrows raise even though his shoulders relax. He looks down at the bath again.
“What’s this?” Jamie asks as he combs a hand through the beer head of bubbles on top of the water.
“A bubble bath,” Roy says gruffly. He stares straight forward at the open-faced cabinet in front of him that has piles of fresh black towels on each shelf.
A pause. “You put me in a bubble bath?”

Summary
“Hands and knees,” he says, and Jamie’s stomach flips. He scrambles to turn over onto his stomach, propping himself up on his elbows. Once he’s settled, he glances over his shoulder to find that Roy has gotten set up behind him and is staring appreciatively at the curve of his back. Jamie makes sure to arch a little more, wiggle his arse a bit for good measure, and Roy’s eyes darken.
“You’re going to take everything I give you tonight,” Roy says, voice so heavy with promise it sounds like a threat. “You’re going to come as many times as you want, and I’m not going to stop.”

Summary
And Jamie likes free shit as much as the next bloke, especially free shit from Roy, whose attention he gulps down like fucking air, but it’s like — “Roy, mate. I’ve got me own money, haven’t I?”
(In which Jamie doesn't need a sugar daddy, but Roy just might need somebody to spoil.)
