Kunikida sputters. “What should we do?”
Ranpo tilts his head, his expression teetering on the edge of amusement. “Uh. Nothing.”
Kunikida, still fuming, hesitates before glancing over his shoulder.
The office is… serene.
Yosano sits at her desk, calmly typing up medical reports. Atsushi is poring over a stack of case files, diligently taking notes. Kyouka is quietly reading by the window. Even Tanizaki and Naomi are hard at work, the sound of their keyboards tapping away in perfect sync.
“See?” Ranpo says, leaning back in his chair and lacing his fingers behind his head. “No one’s yelling. No one’s setting traps. No one’s talking about double suicides or faking paperwork. Productivity’s through the roof!”
Dazai is abducted by the Port Mafia, and Kunikida's life becomes simultaneously better and worse because of it. He doesn't know how that's possible either.

“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.
