Summary
For the first time in years, Jeff Andonuts wonders if he is fitting in well with his new peers. Don’t get him wrong, they’re wonderful people. Ness has a sort of infectious determination that makes you feel invincible and Paula’s raw power can make even the most difficult of enemies falter. They’ve taken his addition to the team in stride, finding ways to incorporate his inventions into plans and making an active effort to include him in conversations. It’s hard not to feel like part of a larger unit when the only thing between you and the horrifying reality of your new life are the jokes you crack with your friends, giving otherworldly creatures silly names and staying up late into the night in hotel rooms talking about your life. Certainly, there are worse people to be saving the world with.
It’s the fact that he’s never really had to move outside of his previous friend circle that causes him strife.
