They’re sitting in his car together, paused at the end of his drive: Tim at the wheel, Lucy browsing dog-friendly restaurants and Kojo squeezed in the front between them, with his tongue out and a huge dummy grin on his face. He’s slowed down a bit this past year or so, but Tim could swear he’s perked up over the last few days, since Lucy came home. He wonders if the change is that noticeable in him too, and finds himself hoping that it is, hoping that the whole world can see it like a neon sign over his head: yeah, I got the girl back, actually. Yeah, she really loves me. Everyone in the whole world wishes he was me.
Tim and Lucy and Kojo go out to dinner after S8E02. It's not all smooth sailing, but that's okay, because the all-new, emotionally healthy Tim Bradford can do many hard things, like giving compliments and eating goat's cheese and talking about his feelings. But only for Lucy Chen, of course.

Tim dropped the books onto the coffee table and gave her a look that was pure, unfiltered smolder. "I assure you, baby, I have absolutely nothing to be jealous of."
Lucy’s breath hitched. "Prove it," she challenged, her voice dropping an octave.
Tim smirked, reaching back into the depths of the box. But his expression shifted from playful to intrigued as his hand closed around something cold and metallic. He pulled them out, the silver links jingling. These weren't standard-issue; they were lined with soft, pink faux fur.
“Lucy,” Tim’s voice was a low rumble.
Lucy didn't even try to hide it this time. She leaned her chin on her hand, watching him with a predatory sort of sweetness. “Those were a gag gift from Tamara. Mostly.”
Tim arched a brow. “Mostly?”
Lucy’s grin widened; she shrugged, utterly unapologetic. “They made for a solid conversation piece during girls’ night.”
He hummed, turning the cuffs over in his hands, the faintest smirk tugging at his mouth. “Can’t imagine what kind of conversations these started.”
“Oh, you’d be surprised.”

I was asked to write a one shot centered around a very pregnant Lucy dragging Tim to a store in the middle of the night to fulfil a late-night craving. While they're shopping, the store they're at gets robbed and the two of them become hostages. During all the chaos, Lucy's water breaks so Tim ends up having to juggle how to keep Lucy safe and getting them out of there safety without escalating the situation.
