Summary
Ajax has had nightmares for as long as he can remember, but all of that comes to a head when he meets Kaeya, a mysterious stranger who he keeps bumping into.
Instead, he opts to clear his throat and ask, “What brings you out here?”
The look Kaeya gives him tells Ajax it is both the right and wrong question all the same. Hesitance and fondness fondle each other, eventually the latter taking over in their small dance. Ajax feels as if, at least for a moment, he has won a small victory.
“I am trying to learn how not to fear the rain.” Kaeya says in a rare stroke of honesty, his seriousness conveyed in the way his lips curl tight when he’s done speaking.
