Eddie realizes he’s tripping on his own two feet when it’s already too late. Of course there would be a water fountain right next to him, why shouldn’t there be?
And as Eddie sits there, his jeans wet and shirt sticking to his torso, he wonders if it’s possible for someone to drown in three inches of water. Maybe he will be the first.or: Eddie sees Steve wearing his Scoops Ahoy uniform and gay panics.

Eddie almost wants to tell him you know it’s me, right? He doesn’t.
It’s not that he expects Steve to be mean, exactly; it’s just that he’s getting more than familiar with the whole post graduation routine. It’s like there’s a secret page in folks’ yearbooks, instructing them to look at anyone still attached to high school with either indifference or embarrassment—or both.
Steve must not have got the memo.

““So who is she?” Robin teased, wiggling her eyebrows.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. He was a customer.” He said evenly.
Robin paused. She leaned back to look at Weird Guy's swishing ponytail again as he finally turned the corner, leaving their sight.
“He?” She squeaked.
Steve stared at her, confused.
“Yeah… he? What are you talking about?”
She looked away for a moment, silent except for the tapping of her finger against the counter.
“Nothing! All good. Glad you’re not dying of boredom anymore!” She said, finitely.”
OR- Season 3 AU where for some reason Eddie really likes mint ice cream… and it definitely has nothing to do with the hot guy scooping it…
