Lois stares at the screen for a few seconds until the word Seen appears under the picture. She places her phone on the dresser next to the mirror, and waits.
Nothing for a few heartbeats.
Then, she hears the whoosh she’s so used to hearing, the sound of air being pushed aside, and she feels the familiar heat against her back; she lets herself melt into the feeling without even looking up.
