“I’m broken,” Nanami murmured, the words barely holding together. He gave Gojo a sad smile. “Aren’t I? That’s why I’m not pregnant. That’s why we can’t have a pup.”
Gojo’s touch stilled for a moment before his thumb brushed along Nanami’s cheek, slow and deliberate. “Oh, sweetheart,” he whispered, voice soft but firm, “you’re not broken.”
Nanami’s breath trembled, as if he wanted to believe him but couldn’t find the strength.
“Then why can’t I be pregnant?” he whispered, the question spilling out before he could stop it. “Why isn’t it happening? We do everything right—every time. It’s been years, I don’t understand.” His hands pressed weakly against his still-flat stomach. “I just want our pup. With you. I want our family.”

Magnus spun in Alec's chair to see him stalking towards the desk.
"Just… testing your chair," Magnus manages weakly.
"Get up," Alec bites out, voice tight. "Now, Magnus."
Magnus chuckles as he slowly starts to rise. "It's just a chair, Alexander—"
"Get. Up." Alec strides straight over and motions to grab Magnus by the bicep to remove him from his chair. "The whole place is going to smell like you now."
Magnus stands before Alec can grab him. "Excuse me? I do not smell bad!"

Summary
It’s a well oiled machine; this system you’ve worked out years prior with Kyle. It’s innate to you now as you lean against the bar, head tilted flirtatiously in the direction of the man inviting you back to his place. Truthfully, the arrangement had set the both of you at ease. But that ease does not find you now, no, instead a bitterness boils between the two of you as Kyle promptly ignores your cue. So spiteful is your flavour of the moment. Fine. If Kyle wanted to play silent treatment, so could you. None of his military background would equip him for the Cold War he had just affronted.
