BEGINNING OF FIC: Apr 2025
Light has always felt so... bored. Only had one friend he actually liked, wasting his time in school, watching the world slowly destroy itself. He was just so angry. But on the outside? He was a model student, top of his class, friendly with everyone, a beautiful girlfriend, a future mapped out for him. Everyone liked him or wanted to be him, some were jealous, but no one knew the real him. Not one.
From a young age, L grew up in a broken household. Soon put into the foster system, but then soon placed in a house for gifted kids. Come his last yr of highschool, his guardian sold the orphanage & moved to Japan. In the process, social services mistakenly deemed his guardian as unfit due to L's autism. On top of living away from his siblings & lifelong guardian, he now has this pretty boy that picks fights with him.TDLR: Light & L are academic rivals. Criminals & non-criminals keep dying. Light & L intern with the police force to find out why. After a lot of trial and error, Light & L make up for everything, much to many’s surprise. Kira is named as who's responsible for these killings, but in this universe, it isn’t Light who’s responsible.

And then, there it was. That same face Stan always wore when he was pissed off at Kyle, and Kyle alone. But this time, it wasn't as fueled by anger as it was by hurt and betrayal. Almost as if he was completely oblivious to all the pain he put Kyle through for years and years on end.
"I gave up on you a long time ago, Stan."
OR;
4 years ago Stan and Kyle's friendship suddenly lost its spark; Kyle's feelings for Stan becoming too much to the point he forced distance. Stan tried his best to rekindle the dying flame as long as he could before he eventually got fed up, and left their years of undying friendship at the curb-just as Kyle did.
But now, it was Junior year. And Kyle was trying to convince himself that he was a new person capable of doing new things. One of those new things being attending a house party. And at first, all seemed to be going okay. That was until he made the stupid decision of stepping out to the roof.
