first Merlin TV fic I've read. going in fandom blind/no knowledge abt it
MUST COME BACK. PART 1 OF TRILOGY.
honestly, I really loved Arthur. I'm simping so bad for him. I love him being secretly a magic user, about a servant being unknowingly the Prince, and also THE Best King. I love him being unknowingly kingly and that he's too humble, but at the same time his personality isn't too soft and he has bouts of arrogance and attitude. BAMF spotlight satisfying self-indulgent
honestly, reminds me of why I love Arthur from The Seven Deadly Sins too. reminds me of how I fell in love with Arthur during his short appearance in TSDS when he first appeared
also, I really love these kind of personalities/characters. Somehow, he feels familiar, as if I knew a character like that. Humble, has an attitude/arrogance, and also unknowingly heroic and such. idk. or maybe it's because I kept imagining Arthur Pendragon? but honestly, I just really love his characterization here
there were also some fluff moments with Arthur and the other characters, friends. also, some light angst like destiny etc etc
also, some psychology like in ch 26, 27 I remember notably, like with relationships friendships conflict with people. other chapters too, but I took note of this

I love the prompt and the idea that Deku loses his memories, he's actually a third year at UA
I love the spotlight parts and everyone being concerned or worried, but the fic felt lacking. I wished there was a conclusion part where Deku regains his memories

seriously such a good fic. i absolutely love this. well-written plot and writing style, good characterization. i am so relieved to find such a well-written fic.(disliked the very VERY small hint of tododeku but its negligible enough. i respect that the author did that, so as to make the fanfic palatable for most people since there weren't any ships explicitly mentioned)
honestly its crazy my younger self complained with how this didnt feel satisfying. i guess its understandable, younger me from five years ago was used to reading long fics worth 50-150k words so it prob didnt feel satisfying coz it felt so short when i was used to longer fics, so i probably wished it was longer so it felt more satisfying, but honestly, rereading this fic as an adult, as someone who hasnt read in a long time? and as someone who has a critical eye, who needs well-written non-cringey well-characterized stories?
this fic was a very satisfying and enjoyable 29 minute read. i intentionally took my time reading and enjoying this fic. and it felt long and satisfying enough.
i finished the fanfic feeling very satisfied. this was genuinely such a good read. man, all works by aloneintherain is seriously peak and quality. god. i sometimes wish they have more mlb and bnha works since its my fave fandoms and they tend to write about tropes that i love.

so i haven't read BNHA fanfics in a long time. i got a bit bored while watching Hospital Playlist, it couldn't keep my attention and I didn’t want to finish Resident Playlist just yet coz i LOVEEEEDDDDD that series so much so i tried to stall by watching hospital playlist but i really couldnt. i was so bored. i needed a quick fix of good satisfying fun story. so i decided to look into bnha fics.
first fanfic i read was that "Skip" bnha fanfic with the 21st century deku time travel fic. it was amazing, god i absolutely LOVEEEE well written fics with good characterization and healthy plot/story. but yeah unfinished fic so i felt like i was left hanging
then i decided to look for some time travelling fics, then i reread aloneintherain's "journey to the past" fic and god i absolutely loved it. i seriously love well written fics with good characterization. i am so glad i chanced upon aloneintherain again so decided to read their other works
so yeah here i am, rereading this age regression izuku fic.

it is so damn good. spotlight, with hints of angst, with quirk shenanigans, hints of the past with bakugo, bakugo being a good character, and fluff/comfort of everyone loving on deku. i kept smiling while reading.
