DEHUMANIZATION;
As a child he had never understood the letters written on the board, hung high on the wall. Even as his teacher explained the concept – the act of regarding, representing, or treating a person or group as less than human. – He could never truly fathom it. How could you see something right in front of you and not recognize the life within?
And then Filament station imploded. It wouldn’t be until he awoke to the ringing off his ears that he had learned that the blast had taken more than just matter. Somewhere between the lighting of a fuse and his placement in the submarine, someone, or something, had decided that he had become something less than. Something not human.Aka. What if the captain never learned of the SM-8 and so Simon was never offered a second chance? Would he fight just to prove that he was worth saving?

Summary
Prismarina was pretty sure this day couldn’t get any worse. She hadn't exactly had the easiest week in general, you know, with the whole demonic possession or whatever. But it was gonna be fine.
Ever since the memory gaps had started — since she had started hearing rumors from her friends about her acting out without even remembering it — It had been lonely. Whenever she ran into one of the other witches at spawn she kept catching their questioning glances. She hated that she could see the distrust in their gaze. It wasn’t like she blamed them. If there truly was something possessing her, making her say all the horrible things people seemed to hear from her, then she didn’t blame them for walking a little faster when they spotted her. Or how they would find an excuse to end any smalltalk when she did manage to bump into one of them.
Even if she didn’t blame them, it still stung. But that had been fine. She could manage. It may have been a bit lonely, but it was fine.
(It didn’t feel fine)
But at least she had Bertha to talk to. Or used to.
No, it wasn’t until the doors to Betha’s house slammed shut in her face that she truly felt hopelessness seeping in. -

“Because no one wants to see you!” The reply slipped out before he could think it through.
“That’s not true!”
“Yes it is! Now shut the hell up!”
“You are the worst brother! I hate you!”
And then Evan ran back to his room, locking the door behind him and that was that.
Smooth, Michael. Real smooth.
Michael and Evan have a fight. Michael then locks himself in the bathroom and contemplates his life choices.

Summary
He was going back to a place he had never seen before. When he’d shown the eccentric man in Kakariko the way to the fairy fountain he hadn’t thought that this was where the journey had been going. He’d shown the pictures on a whim, not expecting anything to pop up but when the man had recognised the large arches he knew he had to see it.
Maybe Impa was wrong, maybe he would remember nothing and the pictures were useless, only capturing a memory now lost to time. But he had to know.

Summary
In a dry, raspy voice, Simon croaks, “Fuck.”
Immediately, the blurry figure’s head snaps over to look at him. “Are you awake, or just talking in your sleep again?” an unfamiliar voice demands—low, with a twitch of an accent that Simon doesn’t recognize.
Simon blinks, but his vision only clears minimally. The ceiling is an off-white blur that smears as he turns his head to look at the stranger. He doesn’t recognize him; bandages obscure the details of his face. “I talk in my sleep?” he asks.
“A lot. It’s annoying.”

Summary
Maybe it was out of spite — a sheer desperate, gritty pluckiness to endure. Simon survived, and yet, everything that made him human had rotted away inside the carcass husk he calls his body.
