The train slowed down enough to stop, right in time for one of the doors to face directly in front of him. They opened with a grating squeak of abandoned iron. And Kou placed one foot after the other, getting up the small stairs of the carriage in silent steps without understanding the reason for it.

Summary
Her money is still ready in her closed palm so, knowing she now has just to wait, Sousuke follows her own curiosity and goes back to look at the girl, just for a peek, to know how her very difficult decision is proceeding.
What wasn’t expected, as if to make her pay for her silent judgment, is to meet her eyes, widened and shocked, now turned to stare at her for who knows how long.
Sousuke is fast and immediately looks away in embarrassment and fear. She moves her hair from behind her ear to shield her vision from the stranger, not only for having just been caught snooping, but also because, from the pissed off look she had in her eyes, the "unlikely” version of her near future that includes a beat up over a cake is appearing suddenly clear and scarily unavoidable.
While she’s already imagining her pretty grave right between the ones of her parents, though, Sousuke hears the smallest murmur conceivable, in the faintest voice.
“…Sousuke?”

Summary
He looked back at Mitsuba's direction, just for a second: he was now contemplating his work on him, probably almost done with it. His eyes flickered up to his and Kou felt himself stricken by a realization.
Oh, he genuinely thought they were having fun there.
Why did Mitsuba wish to restart it all, then? To talk to other people? Kou was embarrassingly sure that his eyes had never left his figure the whole time, too engrossed in the vision of him experiencing stuff for the first time to (wanting to) look anywhere else. So, to feel in need to hang out with someone else with no explanation, Kou finally understood he was feeling… let down. Like he hadn’t done enough to make Mitsuba enjoy himself, like he really needed everyone else's help but Kou’s.
//: Chapter 111 happens, Kou faces his personal Hell alone.

In a big, dumb, gay sort of way, and I never stop. But I just saw Eddie die a thousand times and a Turtle from outer space (I think) sent me here to fix it and I need your help and I don’t know what to—
“Richie? Eh-earth to Richie?” Bill had stopped walking, and was looking at him funny.“Hearing you loud and clear, ground control,” said Richie without meaning to, again on autopilot. He couldn’t help himself. He never learned how. “I’ve just disengaged hyper-speed and I’ve got a beautiful view of Uranus.”
Bill looked at him for a moment, and then shook his head. Richie didn’t get a laugh, but he came close.

Summary
With barely a year at her first real job, Yachi still feels like a child struggling to take its first steps. But encouragement, love and pride can get even the clumsiest child to walk. Attending a wedding of a close friend not much older than yourself though, that feels a lot like running. In the sense of growing up, that is.
A wedding with all its etiquette and expectations and people. Especially with that Kanoka, whom Yachi is wary of. Who knows what they’ll be like? And relying solely on a teenager to carry the nights conversations does seem rather embarrassing.
Or: Yachi does not like the risk of falling or dealing with expectations; Kanoka’s hands in hers seem to change that

Which is why, although kissing girls is easy, allowing yourself a chance with them isn‘t.
Yachi still does not enjoy falling. And she knows the signs now. She‘ll probably never fall in love again without seeing the signs first. And when you are Yachi Hitoka those signs say „run away!“ in big, red, bulky letters. Run away. Don‘t get hurt. Protect yourself.
It‘s bittersweet, knowing you‘re never again going to love without knowing, without panicking first.Normally I don't put cits on bookmarks, but getting read through feels nice. I want to come back and relive it as soon as I forget enough of it to do so.
