It's 1954 in California, and Sam Winchester is a struggling freelance artist. The new deal he's received from local hotshot lawyer - and (not that Sam knows it) Mafioso, Lucifer Petrucelli, to come work for him, is reputed by everyone Sam tells of the offer to be a proverbial Deal with the Devil.
That's not to say Sam isn't intrigued by Lucifer, or that he wants to quit, ever.

Rating and warnings for Chapter 13, the rest being far more mild. Some slight amendments to the 2011 FanFiction version, nothing major.

When a spell goes wrong Sam ends up stranded in the north Canadian wilderness with nothing to do but bunker down and wait for rescue, which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the broken angel he's accidentally brought along for the ride.

Summary
The lives of Sam and Dean Winchester have never been easy. From the moment their mother died, their lives spiraled out of control. With an alcoholic for a father, the two brothers moved around the country constantly. They adopted a less than admirable lifestyle, and it's finally caught up with them.
After being arrested for credit card fraud and armed robbery, Sam and Dean meet their new cellmates. Sam shares a cell with the sly, laid-back, and kind of terrifying Lucifer, while Dean is stick with the energectic, mischievous trickster, Gabriel.
Meanwhile, Castiel Novak and Bobby Singer - the boy's adoptive uncle/parole officer - are doing all they can to get them out on parole. And Dean finds himself falling in love with his nerdy, dark-haired, blue-eyed lawyer.
Sam also finds himself in quite a predicament. He's drawn to his cellmate's mysterious nature, but also finds himself falling in love with the funny, lovable Gabriel. Sam has to choose between the two men he loves . . . and the choice might kill him, or even worse, one of them.
