It all went wrong, predictably, while he was breaking into the audio-visual office.
As the president and sole member of the computer club, Kenta had an interest in the mysterious procedures the drama club's tech people got up to. The machines in the audio-visual office provided a million golden opportunities (connecting to the school's speaker system, mostly), so of course he had to get his hands on them.
Problem one: the audio-visual office was locked.
Problem two: it was the drama club's domain. There was no way he was venturing in there during club hours.
The solution? Pretty simple, really— he could always ditch a class to snoop around outside of club hours, and it turned out the office had a false ceiling.

The problems had started, of course, when the administration cut their transportation budget. That had been pretty important, because oh yeah, Club Paradox was fucking far away- out in the bay on an artificial island. So there had been lots of charter vans and the like between the sharehouse and the club and a million other venues. No more money for any of that now. Nope. Public transit time.
The logic behind this escaped him (put the convicts on public trains, that’s a good idea-), but he’d long since learned not to question shit like that.
Long story short: express trains. Who else used express trains? Only the entire rest of the city’s fucking population.
Murphy’s Law.
