John could only assume it would pick him out immediately whether he wanted them to or not. He just had to hope the damned thing would leave him alone, not in any type of mood to have the fresh wound of his Fall be picked at.
That doesn't seem to be the case as the smell intensifies. The sweetness choking like lung-fulls of smoke burning in every inhale of it. It was different than the brimstone smell of new demons. This one was old. Dangerous.
John's jaw grits, pushing the glass away from himself on the bar and motioning the bartender for another one.
"Hey handsome, did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" A voice practically purrs out from next to him, snapping his eyes to the source to find a man leaned up on the bar next to him. No. Not a man. The demon.
