“At this rate, you’re going to collapse before we even do anything, Link,” she says as she approaches, hugging me from behind.
Zelda places a few kisses on my neck, slowly moving up until her mouth is near my ear to whisper:
“Let’s do it this way,” she says softly, making my whole body shiver. Her teeth lightly nibble on my earlobe. “I’ll start alone... and if you want to join, you’re more than invited.”

Link and Zelda have spent more than half a decade apart from each other, after Link left Hyrule to find himself following the fall of the Calamity. Five years later, they reunite and, after a lot of mending, finally... get together once more (I think you know what I mean).

Zelda asks Link to "cook dinner" for her and he actually starts making dinner (spoiler alert: it burns).

This one-shot is actually a bonus chapter to the main fanfic "The Courage to Find Me," also written by me and available here on AO3. It takes place during the time skips mentioned in Chapters 19 and 21 of the said fanfic. However, it can be read on its own, as it is pretty self-explanatory.

Summary
Orbiting high above Earth, the Outset Mobile Space Station is the pride jewel of Hyrule's technological development. Its crew consists of Commander Urbosa, and her subordinates, Daruk, Mipha, Revali and Link, each a vanguard specialist in their field, each guarding secrets and personal goals. However when microbial alien life is discovered on a fallen meteor, world renowned but recluse Doctor Zelda is sent up with the mysterious lifeform to study it, far away from Earth in an orbit around the Moon. Now she needs to deal with not only the greatest scientific discovery in history, but also with her greatest challenge: Other people. In the end, the research voyage might reveal much more than was intended.

The not-voice from the sword compelled him forwards to attack. Even in the dark, he saw. Even though not a whisper escaped their twisted, wretched mouths, he heard. His hand was so hot it might as well have fused with the weapon. She was guiding him, and the Goddesses were giving their blessings. He was here to kill, to slay the enemy, to return it back to its slumber.
The enemy was here. The enemy was everywhere. The enemy was the foul air itself. He would kill it. Kill the enemy. Kill Ganon.
The Calamity appears four hours after it did in canon. Instead of a single, devastating attack, the Kingdom of Hyrule is able to put up an actual fight, and the Hero and the Princess take the mantles of their burden. Yet, even holy blessings take their toll.
